Fortunately, the machine can upgrade firmware, Newman's website, sure enough, there is the latest version of firmware v3.2.16. There are more video files that support .AMV format. Good.

install the tools that come with it, connect MP3 to your computer, use MP3 Player Upgrade Tool, select a new firmware file, and click upgrade. Ok . MP3 automatically shuts down and restarts.

PS: after the upgrade is complete, you will be prompted with a disk error if you use it immediately. Reading in the computer also indicated that the disk was not formatted, and at first I thought that I had made a mistake in OVER. After a long time, reformatting it with MP3 Player Disk Tool tool will be no problem.
so, if there is something important in the machine, be sure to back it up before upgrading.

the first feeling after the upgrade is that the response is much more flexible. The bug has been fixed. There is also a separate audio and video playback. Video file playback in .AMV and .MTV formats is supported.
installed the new version of MP3 Player Utilities, using AMV Convert Tool to convert several .MPEG.WMV files to .AMV format, a release, not bad. The effect and sound are acceptable. Feel. AMV format compared with .MTV format, the same default parameters, not only the resulting file is much smaller, similar to the original file. The .MTV format is several times larger. And there is a special player to see the effect on the computer first. The conversion speed of the file is very fast, and it also supports batch transfer. The blessing of the lazy! There is no need to click on one song at a time.)
postscript: it feels like Newman's player (I don't know if the other models of the King of Video series are the same), so you have to upgrade the firmware. Upgrade is highly recommended, but make it clear: bear the consequences, don't blame me. 8 -)
