Windows2003 Terminal Server exceeded the maximum number of allowed connections
I didn't care much about this problem before. Recently, the network is unstable and many people are using remote desktops, so this problem often occurs.
1 Limit the duration of disconnected sessions
Under normal circumstances, when we maintain remote servers, we will not be online for a long time, but the system default is to no longer disconnect as long as we log in. Therefore, we can modify this default setting and assign it an automatic disconnection time.
You can solve the problem by setting it down in Group Policy on a Windows 2003 server: Click"→ Start", enter" gpedit.msc", enter, and open the Group Policy window, then navigate to the" Computer Configuration→ Management Template→ Windows Component→ Terminal Services→ Session" in turn, and then double-click in the right window to" set a time limit for disconnected sessions". In the open window, set" the time to end the disconnected session" to 5 minutes, or disconnect when idle.

Sequela description: The effect of disconnecting when idle in step 1 is to log out. If any program is run after logging in to the server, it will be closed and logged out when idle. This question depressed me for a long time. It turns out that the steps were this effect. It seems to be necessary to add that there is no need for maintenance when the program is resident and running.

2 Increase the number of connections, that is, set more connections
By default, the number of remote terminal connections allowed is 2 users. We can appropriately increase the number of users who are connected remotely and online at the same time as needed.
Click“→ Start”, enter“ gpedit.msc” to open the Group Policy Editor window, navigate to the“ computer configuration→ management template→ Windows Component→ Terminal Services” in turn, and then double-click the Limit Number of Connections on the right side“” to set the maximum number of connections allowed by its TS to be larger.
Basically, you can handle it this way!
